About Snow Load Calculator
This calculator determines the roof snow load based on ASCE 7 standards. The formula used is:
pf = 0.7 × Ce × Ct × Is × pg
Where:
- pf = Flat roof snow load (psf)
- Ce = Exposure factor
- Ct = Thermal factor
- Is = Importance factor
- pg = Ground snow load (psf)
For sloped roofs, the snow load is reduced based on the roof slope and surface type.
